People Are Stunned After Autopsy Report Contradicts Footage Of Tourist Who Fell Into Volcano

Autopsy Reveals Brazilian Tourist Died Quickly After Fall on Indonesian Volcano

Juliana Marins, a 26-year-old Brazilian tourist, tragically died after falling while climbing Mount Rinjani, Indonesia’s second-highest volcano. An official autopsy by Indonesian authorities concluded she died approximately 20 minutes after sustaining severe injuries, mainly from blunt force trauma and massive internal bleeding in the chest.

Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Alit, the forensic pathologist, said the injuries to her respiratory system were the most critical, and although she had head trauma, it wasn’t the main cause of death. The injuries suggest she likely died quickly and did not suffer from hypothermia or starvation.

Conflicting earlier reports claimed she survived an initial fall, but the autopsy contradicts that, suggesting her fatal injuries came in a single event. Drone footage showed her alive shortly after a fall of around 200 meters, but her body was later found about 600 meters down, raising the possibility of a second fall.

The time of death is unclear due to her body being kept in a freezer, which can affect forensic estimates. A toxicology report is pending but is considered routine. Her family plans a second autopsy upon her body’s return to Brazil.

Heartbreaking final messages show Marins deeply loved her family and wasn’t afraid of life’s challenges. Her sudden death has left many shocked and questioning how the tragedy occurred.
